CAN YOU BE A CHRISTIAN AND REJECT CERTAIN SCRIPTURES?
Updated: Dec 30, 2019
No!

Professing "Christianity" and rejecting certain Scriptures in the Bible does that make me a “non-christian?” Yes and No, To reject parts of the Scriptures because we don't understand them is to err. But it can be corrected by the teaching and preaching of the Gospel. But to reject certain Scripture because we don't believe in or agree with them, make us a non-Christian. If a person don't believe in God at all, it's impossible for he or she to believe in His Word, it makes them a sinner. Therefore to reject God is to reject His Word. (John 12:48).
If we believe in God, we must believe in His Word, “The whole BIBLE and NOT parts of it.”
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. (John 1:11).
You can’t believe in God who Himself is the WORD, and pick and chose what Bible verses you accept and reject.
The Father, Son and Holy Spirit are One, to believe in Jesus Christ you have to believe in God, His Father, this is why you have to go through the Son to get to the Father (John 14:6).
New Christians
No one new in their faith starts off understanding God’s Word, it’s a process, nevertheless "they can’t reject what they don’t know," they must commit to studying daily under the direction of the Holy Spirit (2 Timothy 2:15). Go to weekly Bible Study, classes at your church, be eager to learn to grow each day in Christ. When we study daily God gives us REVELATION to UNDERSTAND; “The revelation of Your words brings light and gives understanding to the inexperienced.” (Psalm 119:130).
The Lord desires to speak daily revelations into our hearts through the Holy Spirit. A revelation is when God reveals something to us that we did not understand before. A revelation is when God’s words become our reality.
